+How cool is this waveform artwork?  You could record yourself saying your friend’s or lover’s name, view the sound waves in Audacity or something similar, then take a screen capture and have it turned into art.  What a meaningful gift that would be.

+These are some pretty Valentine’s Day nails, eh?

+Slashdot has shared some good articles on twitter lately.  The Department of Homeland Security sent tourists home because of their tweets.  A journalist was arrested by INTERPOL because of a tweet.  I can’t find the Slashdot link, but I also found this article there: Brazil files an injunction against twitter because they want to restrict users from warning others about police roadblocks.

+Mandy Stadmiller is coming out with an ebook.  Hip-hip-HOORAY!

+Adored Susannah Breslin’s article about the workplace.  I could stand to take some of her advice.

I started sending out emails and asking myself if a man would end an email with, “Thanks!” I started demanding to be paid more, turning down work that didn’t pay enough, and acting like a jerk during negotiations.

I wasn’t polite. And it worked.

+Susannah Breslin interviewed porn industry folks about Los Angeles’s new all-porn-actors-must-wear-condoms law and received some interesting responses from across the spectrum.

Second, the condom law will almost assuredly not protect actors, and may, in fact, put them in more danger. Mainstream pornography is a taboo-driven industry: We usually watch it to experience something we cannot in real life and, often enough, those barriers are there because of social norms. In simpler terms, porn actors fulfill our fantasies by pushing boundaries. This new law creates a new boundary, a new taboo, within pornography itself. You can bet that rebellious filmmakers and actors who are willing to create condomless porn will be rewarded in higher sales and popularity.

+Gala Darling interviewed a 22-year-old escort recently. Reading about people who get into sex work out of curiosity rather than a want of money is fascinating to me. The escort (who remains anonymous) says she won’t escort guys she feels attraction toward, but she will have orgasms while working. It also fascinates me that she can so easily separate the two.

+You have to register in order to read Nicole Daedone’s blog, but it’s worth it.  I forget which post I lifted the quote from, but this one has the best description of an intense orgasm I’ve ever read (scroll down about one-third of the page).

Let it be that she is so nailed that she cannot even put a thought together, that the minute she does it fractures into a thousand tiny little pieces. And in that gap, let it be that what lies deeper can finally rise up and ooze out – into her tissues and sinew, blood and bones. Let it be that she becomes heated and swollen, fat and woman.

And let it be that her fear enters with all of its marching orders, black boots and linear instructions-that it gets absorbed into this molten liquid that she has become.

I just heard of Azealia Banks earlier this month and I dig her. Here’s a nice dirty-lyricked song I enjoy. Can’t wait to watch her blow up.

Is it weird that watching Nicki Minaj give Drake a lap dance made me feel nostalgic for being in love? Watch around 1:30 onward. She ad libs a kiss and he reacts shyly. There is such tenderness in how he reacts to her. (And I’m sure you’ve seen the original music video, but in case not it is here.)

Bow Wow has always had a big crush on Tyra Banks and he got to kiss her! After she rapped with him! I guess that’s an upside of being famous–when you get huge crushes on people who don’t like you back they don’t think it’s weird or creepy and they let you kiss them anyway.

I know I’ve probably shared this video before, but it always makes me laugh.

For some reason I got into a mood and wanted to listen to particular drum n bass songs I only had a vague memory of. Thanks to Google, I found them! This is DJ Zinc.

This is Dieselboy. You can barely hear the bass in this video though, which kind of defeats the purpose.
